Who we are

Solnx Group Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We design, supply, install and support digital signage, LED and IT systems across the UK.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC218480.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry

Our enquiry forms ask for the following. Only your name, email address and message are required; the rest are optional.

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your club, school, venue or company name
• Your phone number
• The service you are interested in
• Whatever you write in the message field
• The date and time we received it

We also ask you to tick a box confirming you are happy for us to hold these details in order to reply. We record that you ticked it.

When you arrive from an advert

If you reach a campaign page by clicking one of our adverts, the web address you arrive on carries tracking codes added by the advertising platform. If you then send us an enquiry, those codes are submitted with it so we can tell which advert produced the enquiry. They are: the campaign parameters utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content; the platform click identifiers gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, msclkid, li_fat_id and ttclid; the page you landed on; and the website you came from, if any.

These are read from the web address at the moment you submit the form. They are not stored on your device, and they are not collected at all unless you choose to send us an enquiry.

Automatically, when you browse

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, in order to run the service and protect it from abuse. We also count enquiry submissions per IP address, briefly and in memory only, to stop automated form spam.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry. Our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us about our services, and the consent you give when you tick the box on the form.
• To measure our advertising. Your consent, given through the cookie banner, for anything involving cookies or similar technology. The campaign codes submitted with an enquiry are handled under our legitimate interest in knowing which adverts work.
• To keep the site running and secure. Our legitimate interest in operating a functioning, non-abused website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use the following service providers, who process data on our instructions:

• Resend. Delivers the enquiry emails to us and the confirmation email to you.
• Heroku (Salesforce). Hosts this website.
• Google, Meta, Microsoft and LinkedIn. Only where you have accepted advertising cookies, and only for measuring advert performance. See the sections below.

How long we keep it

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. Some browser storage works the same way and is covered here too.

Before you choose, we set nothing but the item below. No advertising or analytics cookie is set, and no advertising script is loaded, until you press "Accept all" on the cookie banner. If you press "Reject all", none of them are ever loaded.

Strictly necessary

This one does not require consent, because without it we could not honour the choice you made.

Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

You can also clear cookies and site data for solnx.co.uk in your browser settings, which will make us ask again on your next visit.

Advertising measurement

We advertise our services online. To know whether that spending is worthwhile, we need to connect an enquiry back to the advert that produced it. We do that in two ways:

• With the enquiry itself. The campaign codes described above are submitted alongside your enquiry. This does not involve cookies and happens whether or not you accepted them, because it is part of the enquiry you chose to send us.
• With advertising cookies, if you accept them. These let the advertising platforms themselves report on advert performance.

We do not use this information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not build a profile of you for any purpose other than measuring advert performance.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it
• Restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing
• Transfer it to someone else, where that applies
• Withdraw consent you have given, at any time
